Two brands with 0 SUVs in a market that only wants SUVs.

1. Not surprised at all. Chrysler has a total of 2 cars, the Pacifica (which could just be rebranded as a new Dodge Caravan as the current Grand Caravan is a million years old) and the 300 (which already is a Dodge).
2. Also not surprised. The only Fiat that sells remotely well is the regular 500, and even then it’s a niche car at best. The 500X, L, and the 124 were failed experiments.

I mean, there’s not much reason for it to exist:

Bring back the crossfire and the Sebring that will save you!

Cold but makes perfect sense ... Dodge can easily absorb the Pacifica and the 300 can die a graceful death. Premium sedan duties will be assumed by Malfa-Romeorati.
Ram takes care of trucks.
Jeep wins in the end.

I should reiterate I’m not even remotely concerned about Chrysler or Fiat, just this apparent Alfa/Maserati merger. All I can hear is angry Italian shouting.

America (2006) - WE NEED EVERYTHING WITH GOOD GAS MILEAGE! I WILL PAY 5000$ FOR A GEO METRO!
America (2018) - Are you an SUV, pickup truck, crossover, or V8 powered car? You’re not? WELL WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING HERE?!?!?!?!
It pains me because Chrysler could’ve easily been a solid Buick/Cadillac/Lexus/Acura like brand to the more mainstream Dodge. A luxury sedan, a luxury SUV or two, and a cool performance vehicle. Bam. Steady sales and cashflow. Shared the car platform with like alfa romeo and maybe dodge or whatever to get your money out of it. Either make a upmarket challenger to use a dodge platform or be a discount alfa and get a cool performance and flagship vehicle.

The fact that they count the Pacifica and the Pacifica Hybrid as separate models just so they can pad out the “vehicles” section on their website is pathetically hilarious.

A new Sebring is clearly too much work, but maybe they should make a Pacifica convertible.

So is it Fiat Dodge Automobiles now? The FDA is selling cars now?

Maybe they could turn Chyrsler into a trim level a la Maybach if the brand must be retired. Then just maybe, a ‘Plymouth’ Barracuda trim could return as a Dodge model.
Wishful thinking, at least.

Let it be done. After all, that is a fiat.

If they’re going to make some kind of luxury trim, they need to call it Imperial.

Oh yeah, what’s Chrysler’s biggest mistake right now: no CUV/SUV. Use the platform underpinning the Jeep Cherokee (and previously Chrysler 200 and Dodge Dart) for a CUV, and use either the existing platform of the 300 or (most likely) the existing platform designed during the Daimler Chrysler days the underpin the ML/GLE, Dodge Durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee to make a 7-seat SUV.*
Only 4 cyl would be the 2.0T (slightly detuned) from the Guilia and Pentastar 6 for the CUV, and the 6 and Hemi for the SUV. No SRT version, offer a Hybrid, avoid the ZF9 if possible, and AWD/4WD system will not be Trail Rated. Wood/leather/Alcantara accents everywhere. List price undercuts both Cadillac and Lincoln, and they will sell discounted for much less, still raking in profits for FCA.
*ETA: or build the SUV off the platform of the Pacifica.

Well if Fiat leaves, in the US it could be more ADA for Alfa Dodge automobiles!

Does the 500X count? I see a fair amount of those, and they share underpinnings with the Jeep Renegade...

kill Chrysler and Fiat, Move the 124 spyder over to alfa, rename the pacifica under dodge and call it a day.

IF they go out I demand a Demon powered 300. Going out with the worlds fastest sedan is an okay way to leave.
There were demon/widebody mules last year.

Wouldn’t be surprised if they killed Dodge at the same time. I doubt they sell that many Chargers/Challengers.
End up with RAM and Jeep (and ditch Fiat as well).

So then the American Dental Association or Americans with Disabilities Act.

This, except Chrysler should have a line of FWD based upscale CUVs to be positioned along the lines of Buick, Acura, etc.

Still mad over DeSoto.
